WiFi eduroam (SSID eduroam): Configuration for Linux

Linux Fedora

Tested for Fedora 23.

  • click eduroam in the list of Wi-Fi networks
  • fill in:
    • Wi-Fi security: WPA & WPA2 Enterprise
    • Authentication: Protected EAP (PEAP)
    • Anonymous identity: <leave empty>
    • CA certificate: (None)
      • check box No CA certificate is required
    • PEAP version: Automatic
    • Inner authentication: MD5
    • Username: <enter your email address, e.g., sNNNNNN or dNNNNNN@studenti.polito.it>
    • Password: <enter your password> (read Credenziali della didattica)
  • click Connect

I am using andriod version 4.1.2 and not been able to connect to EDUROAM with the current settings. Kindly suggest what to do

Unfortunately I have not access to v4.1. You can explore yourself other options and see what works or look around the web for instructions, e.g.: http://www.oucs.ox.ac.uk/network/wireless/services/eduroam/android/ If you find a soution post it here for others' benefit. :-)

The recent authentication changes fixed the conection issues for both Fedora 20 and Android 4.3.1
